Pictures Of Tonsil Stones
I am the author and editor of this website and have also suffered with Tonsil Stones. The above Tonsil Stones Picture is one of my own coughed up stones. It is not the biggest one I have ever produced, but as I do not get them very often now, it is difficult to be in the right place at the right time for taking pictures of tonsil stones.
If you take a closer look at the diagram below you will see a marker pointing to the Palatine Tonsil. These are the tonsils that can be seen on either side at the back of the throat and this is the area where Tonsil Stones(Tonsilloliths) will form. More often than not sufferers of Tonsil Stones have stones forming on both tonsils but the condition tends to be more prolific on one side.
In this next photograph you can see a Tonsil Stone (Tonsillolith) forming on one of the tonsils. This looks quite small and should not give any discomfort. Larger stones can give the feeling of having a foreign body stuck in the back of the throat and can be very annoying for the sufferer.
This next picture is not one of my own Tonsil Stones but is a good example with a measuring device to demonstrate just how large the stones are.
I do hope the above Tonsil Stones Pictures have helped to give you a better understanding of where they form and what they look like.
